The home is located at the far east end of the historic town of Avery, Idaho. Within 200 yards of the home is confluence of the St. Joe and the North Fork of the St. Joe Rivers. It was completely renovated in 2008 and is nicely equipped to provide comfort in a remote setting. The home is outfitted to comfortably accommodate six and offers a full laundry facility. The telephone use is free for calls made within the United States, as there is no cell phone service in the town of Avery.
Should you choose to spend some time in Avery you will likely enjoy a slow, relaxed pace. Nature is in full bloom here and you will have every opportunity to experience it. You will witness wildlife everywhere - Hummingbirds dance about the property in mid-summer, and deer graze nearby in the early winter. On the river expect to see ducks, bald eagles, osprey, kingfishers, water oozles, beaver and if your lucky an otter. Amongst the surrounding mountains are elk, moose, mountain goat, bear, cougar, coyote, fox, and recently wolves. On an evening drive in the high country you might venture upon one. The flora, fauna, wildlife and scenic vistas of this area provides a virtual wonderland for outdoor enthusiasts and photographers .

There are two bedrooms, each furnished with a full size bed. The living room area provides a couch that expands into a comfortable queen bed and is furnished with high definition television with DVR and a DVD player. There is one bathroom with a shower. Bedding, linen and bath towels are provided. The full kitchen provides a dining table, range, over range microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, and toaster along with all the necessary cooking and eating utensils. Hickory countertops trimmed in walnut highlight the kitchen. The sliding door from the kitchen leads to the deck and backyard. Out back there is a fire pit, a charcoal BBQ and room to pitch a tent if you choose.
